Customs duties, estimated taxes, and import fees apply to orders placed through www.JeffDillon.ca. These policies cover all original paintings, limited edition prints, books, calendars, and greeting cards shipped worldwide. Complimentary shipping is offered for deliveries within Canada and the United States; however, customs fees are separate and may be applied by the destination country.

Understanding customs and import fees
When a shipment crosses a border, the destination country may review it through its customs agency. If fees are owed, the courier will display a notice such as “Import Fees Are Due” and request payment from the recipient before releasing the package. Customs authorities may also hold shipments until required documentation is provided.

Estimated taxes shown at checkout
Taxes displayed at checkout are based on your province, state, or region. These are regular sales taxes. They are not customs fees.
Customs duties, VAT or GST, and brokerage charges are assessed separately by your country’s customs authority once your shipment arrives.

Complimentary shipping vs. customs fees
Complimentary shipping covers transportation cost only.

Within Canada:
No customs duties apply. Shipping is fully covered.

To the United States:
Shipping is complimentary. Customs duty or clearance fees may still be applied by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Outside Canada and the United States:
Shipping charges and customs fees apply. Shipping is quoted at checkout, and customs fees are charged by your country’s customs agency.

United States–Canadian duty-free de minimis
U.S. import rules changed in 2025, affecting shipments entering from Canada.

• The former duty-free de minimis threshold of about USD 800 no longer applies to commercial imports.
• As of August 29, 2025, all commercial imports must be cleared through customs and may be subject to duties, taxes, or handling fees regardless of value.
• Couriers such as UPS and FedEx may request payment of these fees on behalf of U.S. Customs before delivery.

These changes affect all fine art and print shipments from Canada to the United States. Customs fees are set by the U.S. government and cannot be waived or refunded by Jeff Dillon Fine Art.

Orders shipped outside North America
Shipments delivered outside Canada and the United States follow the import rules of the destination country. These may include VAT or GST, duties, brokerage costs, or courier handling charges.

Examples:
• European Union
• United Kingdom
• Australia and New Zealand
• Other regions with unique import thresholds

Shipments may be held until the recipient provides required payments or documentation.

Refused or undeliverable shipments
All artwork and limited edition prints are custom made to order and are not eligible for refunds. If customs fees are not paid, or if required information is not provided, the shipment may be refused or returned. No refund will be issued, and any courier return or handling fees may be billed to the recipient.
