About the Painting
This piece was created to symbolize the memories of many childhood adventures in autumnal forests. Deep in the forest you may hear a small creek or river, but it requires a keen eye to find it. Once found, a whole day is spent playing in it, trying to redirect the flow. This painting reveals the foliage of late fall when the leaves tend to be the darkest and most pigmented. The cool days of fall lend a cerulean blue hue to the woody forest. Rich pigments of quinacridone reds and quinacridone oranges add to the sense of vibrancy and magic within the forest.
