About the Painting
This piece was completed very early on in my career and was inspired by a photo he took while visiting London, England. The palate is intentionally muted which allows the viewer to focus on the changing light quality and the use of light and shadow in the architecture. This painting captures some of London’s iconic essence, including the red phone booth. I titled this piece ‘blind’ because he found himself enamoured with the age and wisdom of the buildings that surrounded him. In contrast, it seemed as though the Londoners were completely at home and not focused on the historical backdrop.
