About the Painting
The worry is over for another year and the harvest is in; the farmer's field is finally completed after the long sprint from the watery days of spring to dry days of early autumn. The gleaming golden wheat fields are contrasted by expansive cloud forms above them. The beautiful separation of this painting suggests we are seeing two worlds of earth and sky and the designs they grant us. Pigments of titanium white and graphite grey detail these entrancing clouds, while the wheat is detailed in oxide yellows. This piece of work is unique, and was actually completed as two separate paintings.
