About the Painting
This painting is alive with the energy and wildness of nature. We know that humans and bears have coexisted since the beginning, because early humans painted the image of bears on their cave walls. We can only imagine the awe and fear a bear in close proximity instilled in the human heart of early peoples. Bears today prefer to live in forested mountains, river valleys, and grassy meadows of sage and wild plants. This painting reveals the beauty, majesty, and presence of one of the largest land carnivores.
