About the Painting
The wolf’s looming silhouette and thick coat of fur create an intimidating form. The wolf is often revered as being the king of the forest, and this is embodied in the all encompassing nature of this wolf’s stance. It’s eyes are almost obscured from the viewer, as the wolf overlooks its territory, slinking through a cathedral of forest. This painting is rich in jewel toned pigments, communicating the saturated autumn colours of the environment. Pigments of primary magenta, pyrrole orange, sap green, titan cream and slate grey make this painting come alive.
