Sitting with its buttery wings on show, this tiger swallowtail butterfly is taking a pause on a butterfly bush bloom. Although not native to Canada, this plant is heavily fragranced and rich in nectar and often interests many pollinators. The butterfly bush is a reminder that environments are frequently changing, and our actions have a direct impact on the delicate beings that make up our ecosystems. The wings of the tiger swallowtail are detailed in light bismuth and naples yellow, cobalt blue, and cadmium orange.
